You’ll note that it is Chuck, not Charles, and that is a good indicator of the man’s genial, informality allowing him access to even the most reluctant artist’s attitude and sense of privacy. Chuck’s camera has captured both the outer and innermost of notables of stage and screen, and he has ventured–and been invited–to some of the most prestigious moments in cultural and world history. And fortunately, for his subjects and their fans, his trusty eye and camera was there never to distort but to document and preserve those moments. Lucky us.
